LIVE STREAM SESSION With FDA approval for LAMS for gallbladder drainage in non-surgical candidates with acute cholecystitis, the internal drainage options for these patients has become robust. grew substantially. With ERCP for transpapillary gallbladder drainage and EUS for transmural gallbladder drainage available, there should only be specific instances where percutaneous drainage is still necessary. However, due to historical practices, many hospital systems still refer nonsurgical patients directly to interventional radiology for percutaneous drainage. IR after surgery has deemed a patient to not be a surgical candidate thus not involving the gastroenterologist. This session will highlight practices, tips, and tricks for gallbladder drainage and focus how to build a gallbladder drainage program.
