ROBOTIC PANCREATICODUODENECTOMY (PD) FOR OBSTRUCTING AMPULLARY MASS
Date
May 21, 2024
This video depicts a robotic PD performed on a 69-year-old male presenting with flu-like symptoms, abdominal pain, and nausea. Imaging reveals pancreatic head mass causing CBD obstruction. Subsequent ERCP, EUS/FNA, and biliary stent placement were necessary. The operation involved precise dissection, lymphadenectomy, and vessel ligations to ensure negative margins. Reconstruction comprised hepaticojejunostomy, pancreaticojejunostomy, and duodenojejunostomy. The patient's recovery was optimal, being discharged on POD 6, with symptom resolution. This video showcases the successful application of robotic PD in challenging cases, highlighting meticulous techniques for optimal outcomes.
We present the case of a 67-year-old woman who had two IPMN in the pancreas body (4 and 2 cm) and underwent robotic distal pancreatectomy with spleen preservation…
INTRODUCTION: The robotic approach in hepatectomy is becoming increasingly prevalent, necessitating a dedicated difficulty scoring system tailored for robotic operations…
INTRODUCTION: Caudate lobectomy (S1) and right posterosuperior resection (S7/8/4A) are technically challenging operations, especially when undertaken using a minimally invasive approach…
Management of patients with margin negative, T1-T3, N0 (stage IB–IIIA), resected gallbladder cancer (GBC) remains poorly defined. Current guidelines consider observation, chemotherapy (CT), and chemoradiation (CRT) as options…
