The purpose of the proposed session entitled, Navigating Career Transitions for Women, is to provide support to women in gastroenterology pursuing new phases of their careers. The program will highlight the options and opportunities for women in GI and how we can leverage our communities to achieve gender equity and job satisfaction when a transition is made. In three separate short talks, we will highlight: a) The landscape of careers for women across GI, gender disparities unique to different practice settings and the opportunities for women considering career transitions in GI.b) Strategies to support decision-making and post-transition fulfillment. c) How to maximize your value through contract and compensation negotiations. Talks will be followed by a diverse panel of speakers who will be asked to provide their own experience making career transitions, and highlight opportunities, pitfalls, and wisdom for early and mid- career change.
