Microbes, Molecules, and Metabolites: Methodical Muli-omics to Illuminate Mechanisms

SOCIETY: AGA There can be no doubt that gut microbial content is a major determinant of human health and disease. However, it is easier to generate large amounts of microbial, host, and metabolic information than it is to perform cogent analyses. Here we review how to choose multi-omics technology, and models of resources to analyze resulting data. A major goal is to discuss inter-technology (horizontal) integration.
