LAPAROSCOPIC PELVIC ORGAN PROLAPSE SURGERY (POPS): A VIDEO TECNIQUE

One 10 mm trocar at umbilicus, one 10 mm trocar in right iliac fossa, and one 5 mm trocar in left iliac fossa are placed. Vesico-uterine space dissection and V-shaped polypropylene mesh placement and fixation to the vaginal fornices with polypropylene stitches. Bilaterally, skin incision posteriorly and superiorly to iliac crests is performed. Then the oblique muscles fascia is dissected and pro-peritoneal tunneling with a forceps up to the vesico-uterine space is performed. Mesh edges are tractioned until pelvic statics are re-established. The middle of the mesh is fixed to the vagina and the edges to the oblique muscle fascia. Peritoneum is closed with barbed suture.
