Incorporating GI Cancer Screening Guidelines Into Your Practice - Moving Beyond Endoscopy and Colonoscopy

Date
May 18, 2024

SOCIETY: AGA Advances in technology and our understanding of pathogenesis of GI malignancies are leading to innovations in screening and surveillance strategies. In this session we will learn about emerging technologies for BE screening and risk stratification. In addition there is increasing awareness of the alarming increase in incidence of early-age onset colorectal cancer; which tends to be more distal and more advanced at presentation, with worse histological features. In this session we will learn about the mechanisms/biology of EAO-CRC, identify potential risk-factors for EAO-CRC, and discuss leveraging existing and future technologies to effectively detect, screen and thereby prevent this devastating disease.

Presentations:

EMERGING SCREENING STRATEGIES AND RISK STRATIFICATION FOR ESOPHAGEAL NEOPLASIA
MOLECULAR MARKERS FOR COLORECTAL CANCER RISK AND SCREENING: EMERGING APPROACHES
MULTICANCER EARLY DETECTION TESTS: WHERE ARE WE?
MATHEMATICAL MODELS FOR GI CANCER SCREENING AND SURVEILLANCE
