Repositories for human biospecimens (biorepositories) and data resulting from human studies are invaluable resources for continued investigations and when effectively combined allow interrogation of otherwise intractable questions. With examples from multiple disease states, this session will first describe the establishment of biorepositories and the management of data that results from them. In consideration of the expansion of publicly available data resources following the NIH's 2023 Data Management and Sharing Policy, the session will then discuss applications for multimodal human GI datasets.
