This scientific session will honor Dr. Stephen Collins with the BCID mentor of the year award. Dr. Collins is a renowned gastroenterologist and researcher and has made seminal contributions to our understanding of the role of microbiota in gastrointestinal health and disease as well as the gut-brain axis. Along with Dr. Collins, this session will feature three of his former mentees who will delve into various aspects of gut microbe-host interactions.
