Many disorders of gut-brain interaction (DGBIs) have major sex differences in pathophysiology, clinical presentation and treatment response. This research symposium focuses on exciting new findings describing how cells, circuits, and even the geometry of the digestive tract differs between males and females, and the impact these differences may have on digestive disease.
