This session will give attendees an update on the latest scientific and clinical innovations in the diagnosis and management of acute liver failure (ALF). Nationally recognized experts on ALF, advanced liver disease management, critical care, and transplant surgery will update the audience on practical clinical considerations in this highly morbid and rapidly progressive disease process. Often, the general GI practitioner is the first to consult on these sick inpatients. This session will help providers navigate the initial diagnostics, initiate the early management, and determine the need for transplant center consultation and transfer.
