Waqar A. Qureshi

Waqar Qureshi, MD, MACG, is Professor at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX. He earned his medical degree from the University of London's Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine in the UK. He then completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship training in Gastroenterology here in the U.S. His interests include endoscopy in pregnancy and management of ano-rectal disorders. He firmly believes that management of ano-rectal disease is the domain of the gastroenterologist. He is fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (UK), Fellow of the ASGE and Master of the ACG. He is President elect of the Texas Society of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy. Dr. Qureshi has published in peer-reviewed journals and is author of a Textbook: Diagnosis and Management Guide for Anorectal Disease: A Clinical Reference.
