Ryan Stidham is a translational scientist caring exclusively for patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Dr. Stidham is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine and the Department of Computational Medicine & Bioinformatics where he serves as the Associate Chair of Translational Research. His research focus is the use of artificial intelligence to improving measurement of IBD and other gastrointestinal diseases, developing new interpretations of cross-sectional imaging, endoscopy, medical text, and other electronic data. Dr. Stidham’s research has been supported by the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Defense, the National Science Foundation, the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, and the Leona Helmsley Charitable Trust. He serves as associate editor for the American Journal of Gastroenterology and is an executive committee member for the University of Michigan Institute for Data and Society (MIDAS).
