Pooja Singhal, MD, FACG, AGAF, DABOM is a board-certified Gastroenterologist. She completed her medical school training at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. She then pursued Internal Medicine residency at the renowned Georgetown University Hospital (GUH) in Washington, DC, and continued her medical training by obtaining a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the GUH as well, where she was selected as both the Chief Resident and Chief Gastroenterology Fellow. Dr. Singhal's clinical training and interests include General Gastroenterology, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Celiac disease, Liver diseases, including Hepatitis and Cirrhosis, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, and Women's gastrointestinal health. Dr. Singhal is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) as well and is trained in Orbera Intra-gastric balloon system. She has a special interest in Women's digestive health and Obesity medicine. Dr. Singhal has been practicing Gastroenterology for more than 11 years, during which she has performed over 12,500 endoscopic procedures. She has been an advocate for community education and has been an active speaker locally and nationally on a variety of topics, such as Colorectal Cancer prevention, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Women's digestive health, Eosinophilic Esophagitis, and Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disorder. She is an active member of the American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology and Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation (CCFA), and has served on various committees dedicated to patient access, care, and quality improvement. Dr. Singhal is a recipient of several noteworthy honors and awards for her service to the medical profession and her local community. She has been nationally recognized by the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) for her efforts to raise awareness of Colo-Rectal Cancer prevention in Oklahoma for three consecutive years (2017-2019) with the prestigious SCOPY award. She was recently selected as a member of the 2023 American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) Future Leaders. Dr. Singhal was a part of Oklahoma County Medical Society (OCMS) Leadership Academy Class VII and currently serves on the OCMS executive Board.
