
Megan A. Adams

Dr. Megan A. Adams is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Gastroenterology at the University of Michigan (UM) Medical School, an investigator with the VA Ann Arbor Center for Clinical Management Research, and a member of UM’s Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation. She serves as Core Faculty of UM’s GI Clinical T32 Training Program and Associate Program Director of UM’s GI Fellowship Program. She completed her undergraduate medical training at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and both her internal medicine and gastroenterology fellowship training at the University of Michigan before joining the faculty in 2015. As a general gastroenterologist and health services researcher, she focuses her work on improving the quality and delivery of healthcare for patients with gastrointestinal conditions, including through promoting appropriate use of GI endoscopic resources and optimizing endoscopic access. She is independently funded by 2 VA Health Services Research & Development (HSR&D) Merit Awards, and her research has been published in journals such as JAMA, JAMA Internal Medicine, and Gastroenterology. |
