David Leiman, MD, MSHP, is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology at Duke University, where he is also a member of the Duke Clinical Research Institute. His clinical practice focuses on the evaluation and management of patients with complex esophageal and swallowing disorders, including a particular interest in eosinophilic esophagitis. Dr. Leiman is an active clinical and health services researcher focusing on care delivery and serves as principal investigator for several ongoing studies in EoE. He has authored multiple guidance documents on clinical best practices, including describing quality metrics for EoE, and also serves as Director of the Esophageal Center at Duke.
