Dr. Ashley Cuellar Gilmore completed medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and was accepted to the Indiana University Internal Medicine Residency Program in 2009. During her residency she identified obesity as a treatment target for prevention of other diseases. She served as the IU internal medicine ambulatory medicine Chief Resident before matriculating to the Indiana University Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship program in 2013. While training in gastroenterology she also completed obesity medicine training through collaborations at Duke, Boston University and the Penningtion Biomedical Research Center. Once on faculty at Indiana University she started the IU Medical and Endoscopic Weight Loss Center. She has continued to develop this program, which is now one of the busiest in the system and the state. |
